Happiness begins with good health. This World Health Day let’s celebrate good health!

World Health Day is an initiative taken by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness about the overall health and well-being of people across the world. In the face of the current pandemic, a polluted planet, and increasing incidences of diseases, the theme for World Health Day 2022 is Our Planet, Our Health.

This month, we challenge you to get these five habits in check every day that will have a positive effect on your wellbeing. Let's work together to celebrate the benefits of mental and physical wellness.

  1. Get adequate rest

Rest is vital for better mental health, increased concentration and memory, a healthier immune system, reduced stress, improved mood, and even a better metabolism. Say no to the snooze button. We know it’s tempting, but each time you press snooze, you’re confusing your mind and your body. That extra five minutes in bed will actually leave you feeling groggy and may actually affect your ability to focus at school or work.

  1. Dedicate 30 minutes per day to physical activity

Think of it this way – a 60-minute workout is only 4% of your day, so squeezing in a quick 30-minute walk/jog should be a piece of cake! It will also boost your mood and your energy for the rest of the day.

  1. Keep a healthy eating routine

The key isn't to count each calorie, yet to just be aware of what you are placing in your body. Lean meats, salad greens, nutritious grains, and leafy fruits and vegetables will make your mind and body exceptionally blissful.

  1. Give yourself a break

Take more time to unwind and loosen up after a bustling working day. This could be a comfortable walk around the recreation area, a yoga class at the TLC, or a relaxing shower. It's vital to treat your body well, as it strives to keep you moving.

  1. Take supplements to boost your health

Vitamins and minerals are essential to helping your body develop and function as it should. While most people get all of what's recommended by eating healthy, others need a little extra nutrient boost. That's where supplements come in — providing you with the support your body needs to stay healthy.

Let’s celebrate World Health Day with W T Rawleigh and its wide range of vitamins and supplements that help boost your health. Live happier and healthier!
